Job summary

Remedy Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a welcoming nursery setting in Colchester on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about childcare, leadership and creating a positive environment where children can thrive.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Senior Leadership role within an Early Years setting.
• A relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (Level 5 or 6 desirable).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• A proactive approach with the ability to maintain high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and smooth running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of childcare, learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Build positive relationships with parents, families and external professionals.
• Monitor children's development and ensure individual learning needs are supported.
• Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance where required.
• Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
