Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Manager for a welcoming nursery in Colchester. You will lead daily operations, ensure high standards of care and education, and supervise a team of Early Years practitioners to support children's development.

The ideal candidate will have nursery leadership experience, strong EYFS knowledge, and a passion for creating a nurturing learning environment with a focus on safeguarding and Ofsted compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Manager or Senior Leader in an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• A genuine passion for children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and smooth running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of childcare, learning and development (EYFS).
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Build positive relationships with parents, families and external professionals.
• Monitor children's development and support individual learning needs.
• Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance as required.
• Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and regulations.
