Job summary

Refresh Recruitment Ltd in Muswell Hill is seeking an experienced Early Years professional for the role of Third in Charge. You will support Room Leaders and practitioners, helping to maintain high standards of care, learning and safeguarding, while stepping up into a senior position.

The role requires a full Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification, EYFS knowledge, and experience in an Early Years environment.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in an Early Years or nursery environment, ideally with Room Leader or senior responsibilities.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
• Experience observing, assessing and planning for children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support Room Leaders and Practitioners in the effective management of their rooms.
• Help create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment that meets each child’s needs.
• Ensure EYFS requirements are met in nursery practice and provision.
• Monitor, evaluate and help improve the quality of childcare practice.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Support and develop staff, including helping to set development targets.
• Take on playroom and additional management responsibilities when required.
• Support the nursery in maintaining budgets and controlling costs.
• Promote high standards of safeguarding, care and early years education.
