Job summary

Talent-ID Recruitment Limited is seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Manager to lead a designated nursery room or unit. You will inspire a team, deliver outstanding EYFS care and education in a warm, nurturing environment.

Join us as an experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner or Deputy in a leadership track, mentoring staff, coordinating day-to-day operations and ensuring high standards of safeguarding, planning and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent is essential
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the effective day-to-day running of your designated nursery room or unit
• Lead, motivate and support Early Years Practitioners and support staff
• Allocate responsibilities effectively and maintain high standards of practice
• Mentor and support less experienced practitioners, apprentices and new team members
• Deliver high-quality care, learning and development in line with the EYFS
• Create stimulating activities based on children's needs and interests
• Monitor children's development and maintain accurate observations, assessments, planning and next steps
• Promote children's independence, communication and social development
• Support children with additional needs and SEND, working with parents and relevant professionals
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are consistently followed
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety and ensure nursery policies are followed
• Contribute to quality improvement, self-evaluation and preparation for Ofsted inspections
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and communicate effectively about children's care and development
• Support staff development and work collaboratively with the wider nursery leadership team

Education

Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
