Job summary

InHealth is seeking an experienced respiratory nurse leader to oversee day-to-day operations of the service, lead nurse-led clinics and participate in screening review discussions. You will support workforce development, maintain clinical standards and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong clinical governance, leadership and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with travel across programme locations and some home-working flexibility.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC registration.
• IRMER qualification or willingness to undertake training.
• Leadership or teaching qualification is desirable.

• Deliver nurse-led clinics and provide specialist respiratory expertise.
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety and clinical governance.
• Support workforce planning, performance management and staff development.

£46,000 + £4200 Car allowance or company car

Location: North East London, with travel across East and North Hertfordshire, West Essex, Harlow, Rainham, Havering, Waltham Forest and surrounding programme locations.
Salary: £46,000 + £4200 Car allowance or Company car
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (flexible working available, including compressed hours across 4 days)
You need to be flexible to work from home and face to face in clinic

This is an exciting opportunity for a respiratory nurse with leadership experience who wants to make a genuine impact on patient care while developing and supporting a high-performing clinical team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Clinical Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, support workforce development, maintain clinical standards and contribute to service improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in nurse-led clinics, screening review meetings, management of incidental findings and nodule surveillance pathways.

This is a predominantly Monday to Friday role with flexibility available. While based within the region, travel to programme locations will be required, alongside monthly face-to-face clinics, staff training and site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with national screening standards and organisational policies

What We're Looking For

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC registration
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Confident clinical decision-maker with excellent assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across programme locations
• IRMER qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
• Leadership, coaching or teaching qualification
• Experience within screening services or cancer pathways

Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement.
