Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine to join a busy department that provides imaging and reporting services. You will be embedded in the nuclear medicine service, report and vet studies, and help shape the future of the Trust's nuclear medicine offering.

The post offers opportunities for home or flexible reporting sessions, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and involvement in registrar teaching and departmental leadership.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and eligibility for Consultant Nuclear Medicine post.
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR (CP) or demonstrated capabilities.
• Higher clinical qualifications such as MRCS or MRCP.
• Postgraduate degrees, diplomas or theses relevant to the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Consult within Nuclear Medicine with reporting and imaging advice.
• Help lead and shape the Trust's nuclear medicine services.
• Engage in Registrar training with rotating trainees.
• Teach Radiology Registrars and supervise research projects.
• Engage in management and leadership within the department.
• Encourage and support research and development.
