Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear seeks a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer to lead design, integration and delivery of high-integrity systems for nuclear and regulated projects. The role offers hybrid working between Grimsby or Hessle offices with occasional travel.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards, collaborate across disciplines, and support testing, commissioning and handover to achieve reliable performance. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, engineering and delivering control and instrumentation systems within nuclear, defence, energy, process or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of functional safety and relevant standards (IEC 61508/61511) or equivalent.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS and field instrumentation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and integrating control and instrumentation systems for complex nuclear and highly regulated projects.
• Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety requirements, technical standards and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative technical solutions and resolve engineering challenges.
• Supporting testing, verification, commissioning and handover activities to deliver reliable operations.
• Engaging with clients, regulators and suppliers to deliver technical requirements.
