Job summary

RTX in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior NPI Engineering Manager to bridge R&D and full-scale manufacturing. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers to design, industrialise, and hand over new electronic products from concept to production.

Applicants should have a strong manufacturing background, expertise in AS9100/AS9145, and proven leadership in regulated environments. The role supports onsite work in Glenrothes or Livingston.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
• Experience in highly regulated sectors (Aerospace/Defence/Space).
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, J-STD-001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to design and industrialise new electronic products.
• Manage stage-gate processes from bid concept to production handover.
• Drive DfM, DfT, and cost-focused design decisions.
• Mitigate risks using PFMEA and RCCA techniques.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to secure components.
• Set baselines for cost, schedule, and quality and report to leadership.
• Develop manufacturing plans, work instructions, tooling and fixtures.
• Coordinate R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations for launches.
• Oversee MRL assessments and Production Readiness Reviews.
