Job summary

RTX in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to drive manufacturing improvements and innovation across sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop capacity plans, and support transitions from development to volume production.

The role requires a multi-skilled engineer with experience in factory layouts, workflow optimization and Lean/Six Sigma. A permanent UK resident status and BPSS checks apply, with hybrid working options across RTX sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering science (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.).
• Strong skills in statistics, SPC, Six Sigma and Lean methods.
• Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions for new products or processes and help plan capacity investments.
• Analyse manufacturing systems to identify improvement opportunities using IE tools and methods.
• Define equipment, facilities and support requirements for new products and processes.
• Produce detailed factory/layout drawings using AutoCAD and support costings and implementation.
• Lead or support projects with data analysis, value stream mapping and lean manufacturing principles.
