Job summary

A leading international law firm in Birmingham is recruiting a Non-Contentious Construction Legal Director to advise developers, contractors and funders on complex construction matters. The role requires 8+ years' PQE, exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, and a strong Midlands network; you will manage senior client relationships and mentor juniors.

Qualifications

Be a qualified solicitor with significant experience in non-contentious construction.
Strong technical knowledge of construction law and documentation.
Established reputation and network within the Birmingham/Midlands market.
Demonstrate commercial awareness and excellent client management skills.
Able to develop existing relationships and win new work.
Experience working on complex, high-value projects.

Responsibilities

Advise on major development and regeneration projects.
Draft and negotiate building contracts and appointments.
Work with JCT and NEC documentation.
Prepare development agreements and funding arrangements.
Address construction aspects of corporate transactions and real estate projects.
Oversee procurement and project structuring; appoint contractors and consultants.
Provide general non-contentious construction advice and client relationship development.
