Job summary

International Law Firm in Birmingham is recruiting a Non-Contentious Construction Legal Director to lead the Birmingham team. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in non-contentious construction, strong technical knowledge, and an established Midlands network to develop client relationships and opportunities.

The role involves advising on major development projects, negotiating contracts and documentation, and contributing to the growth of the firm’s construction offering

Qualifications

Be a qualified solicitor with significant experience in non-contentious construction.
Strong technical knowledge of construction law and documentation.
Established reputation and Birmingham/Midlands network.
Demonstrate commercial awareness and client management skills.
Confident in developing relationships and winning new work.

Responsibilities

Advise on major development and regeneration projects.
Draft and negotiate building contracts, appointments, JCT/NEC docs.
Handle development agreements and funding structures.
Contribute to construction aspects of corporate transactions and real estate work.
Support procurement, project structuring, and appointments.
Help grow the Birmingham office construction practice.
