Job summary

International Law Firm in Birmingham seeks a Non-Contentious Construction Legal Director to lead and grow the construction practice in the Midlands.

The successful candidate will bring a track record in advising developers, contractors, funders and other stakeholders on complex projects, with strong client management and business development skills. 8+ years' PQE in non-contentious construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in non-contentious construction.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction law and documentation.
• Established reputation and network within the Birmingham/Midlands market.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent client management skills.
• Demonstrate ability to develop relationships and win new work.
• Experience handling high-value, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-contentious construction advice on major development projects.
• Advise on building contracts, appointments, JCT and NEC documentation.
• Deal with development agreements and funding arrangements.
• Address construction aspects of corporate transactions and real estate projects.
• Oversee procurement and project structuring; manage contractor/consultant appointments.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
