Job summary

ITVET is seeking a Tier II NOC Engineer in Bishops Stortford, UK for a full-time role within the Service Desk. You will be the escalation point for complex network issues, mentoring junior colleagues, and driving changes that align with ITVET standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, and a strong focus on customer service in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior IT role, preferably in an MSP.
• Strong network troubleshooting across a broad tech stack.
• Calm, logical under pressure with solid troubleshooting instincts.
• Able to own decisions and outcomes.
• Excellent communicator for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative, mentoring juniors in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for technology and continual learning.

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial technical escalation point within NOC for complex issues.
• Own Change Requests and Technical Validations to ITVET standards.
• Lead major incidents with investigation, resolution and RCA.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior NOC colleagues.
• Maintain high customer service standards in pressure situations.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to problem management.
• Contribute to process improvements across the Service Desk.
• Represent ITVET’s values in client interactions.
