Job summary
James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Neurodevelopmental Specialist to join the Newberry Child Development Centre. The post leads the assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental differences, including autism and ADHD, within newly launched pathways, delivering high-quality, equitable care.
You will collaborate with Paediatricians, Psychologists and Therapists, helping shape services, supervising colleagues and promoting family-centred neuro-affirming
Qualifications
- Degree in SLT, OT or Nursing and registered with HCPC or NMC.
- Postgraduate courses in Autism/Neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Leadership training or experience in leading teams is desirable.
- Membership of RCOT or RCSLT advantageous.
- Experience supervising juniors and students in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise and leadership within the Neurodevelopmental pathway.
- Develop, implement and evaluate NDD assessment and diagnostic pathways.
- Collaborate with Paediatricians, Psychologists, Therapists and education partners for integrated care.
- Offer senior oversight, case discussions and supervision to the MDT.
- Contribute to service planning, workforce development, performance monitoring and quality improvement.
