Job summary

Vertis Health is recruiting a senior Pediatrician or Psychiatrist to join its developing Children and Young People’s ADHD and ASD Assessment Services. The post focuses on assessing children referred to the ASD/ADHD pathway and requires broad expertise in neurodevelopmental conditions.

You will work across the CYP neurodevelopmental service, mentor colleagues, contribute to service development and ensure high-quality assessments, reports and safeguarding practices within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Significant experience assessing and managing children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Experience undertaking ADHD assessments and contributing to diagnostic decision-making.
• Experience contributing to Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments as part of a multidisciplinary process.
• Experience preparing high-quality clinical reports and maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Experience identifying and managing safeguarding concerns and clinical risk.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality clinical work within the Children and Young People's ADHD and ASD Assessment Services.
• Assist in comprehensive paediatric and neurodevelopmental assessments for referred children and young people.
• Provide senior medical advice within competence and agreed responsibilities.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary diagnostic formulation and decision-making.
• Prepare clear, accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
