Job summary

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior IT Officer to join the Network and Telecoms team. You will deliver and maintain a wide range of network and telephony technologies essential to patient care, including Cisco campus networks, remote sites, firewall estate, Teams, Unify IP and DECT telephony.

As an experienced IT professional you will work with third party and in-house SMEs to provide 3rd/4th line support, contribute to design workshops, roadmaps, tenders,

Qualifications

Degree level in IT or equivalent with significant third-line network support experience.
Strong knowledge of Cisco network/hardware and IP telephony.
Experience with data centre planning, network infrastructure builds, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide third-line network support across the Trust via phone, email, or desk-side.
Assist in planning and development of data centre and campus infrastructure.
Lead on physical implementation of network infrastructure across multiple sites.
Project manage hardware implementations and system upgrades with IT teams.
Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support and 24/7 on-call coverage.
