Job summary

Sky is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement and govern enterprise-scale network security across our UK footprint. You will lead security strategy, monitor for threats, and drive incident response and improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will deploy and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs and cloud security controls, while ensuring compliance with regulations. A hybrid working model applies, with two office days per week in Osterley.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, implementing, securing and supporting enterprise-scale network security solutions.
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response and threat detection in large organisations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive cyber security plans addressing current threats and future risks.
• Monitors network activity for suspicious behaviour and unauthorised access attempts.
• Investigates potential breaches and anomalies detected by monitoring systems.
• Responds quickly to incidents by isolating systems and restoring backups as needed.
• Implements technologies (firewalls, WAFs, VPNs, NAC) to improve protection levels.
