Job summary

Applied Intuition Defence in London seeks a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design UK-hosted infrastructure and drive automation across cloud, on‑prem and air‑gapped environments. You will embed with engineers, own CI/CD and HiL integration, and deliver scalable platforms with security clearances in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field.
• 5+ years building infrastructure for production software.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.
• Scripting in Python or Bash and Linux proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of UK-hosted infrastructure for internal teams.
• Build and deploy products into cloud, on‑premise and air‑gapped environments using IaC.
• Host UK-approved AI models for use in secure programmes.
• Improve developer efficiency by removing friction with tooling.
• Own CI/CD systems and deployment strategies; enable HiL integration.
• Debug and profile distributed systems and lead incident response.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Share solutions with the wider organisation to improve products.
