Job summary

Domestic & General, Wimbledon-based, is seeking a Senior Network Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, performance and security of our hybrid network. The role covers Azure networking, remote access, load balancing and branch connectivity, with a hands-on, senior engineering focus.

You will drive automation, observability, and support our transition to a more Azure-native architecture, leading incident resolution and collaborating with Cloud, Security and Engineering teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
• Enterprise networking including routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, DNS and VPNs.
• Experience with network security, segmentation and Zero Trust.
• Automation and IaC using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible or scripting.
• Experience supporting production environments and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, performance and availability of Azure and hybrid network services.
• Act as the senior escalation point for major incidents and complex technical issues.
• Design and enhance Azure networking, connectivity and security solutions.
• Support and optimise technologies including F5 BIG-IP, Cisco ASA, Check Point, Zscaler and SD-WAN.
• Drive network modernisation, simplification and automation initiatives.
• Implement monitoring, Infrastructure as Code and operational best practices.

Senior Network Reliability Engineer Permanent Position Hybrid Role from our Wimbledon Office with On Call Work Domestic & General is growing fast across 12 countries, protecting the appliances that keep households running and cutting waste by extending product life. Recognised by Great Place to Work and the Inclusive Employers Standard, we're building a modern, technology lead business and we're looking for a Senior Network Reliability Engineer to drive the performance, reliability and security of our hybrid, enterprise network estate.

About the Role

This is a hands-on senior engineering position with responsibility for the performance, reliability and security of our hybrid network environment across Azure, security, remote access, load balancing and branch connectivity. You'll lead the resolution of complex network challenges, drive automation and observability, and support our ongoing transition to a more Azure-native architecture.

Key responsibilities

About You

You'll be an experienced network engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, taking ownership and delivering secure, reliable services at scale. We're looking for someone with experience in:

• Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
• Enterprise networking, including routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, DNS and VPNs.
• F5 BIG-IP, Cisco ASA, Check Point and Zscaler.
• Network security, segmentation and Zero Trust principles.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible or scripting.
• Supporting production environments and leading incident resolution.

You’ll also:

• Lead by example while remaining hands-on technically.
• Take ownership from identification through to resolution.
• Build strong relationships through collaboration and technical credibility.
• Mentor and develop fellow engineers.
