Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Network Engineer in Birmingham to design, implement and operate complex LAN and WAN networks for multi client deployments. The role emphasizes firewall configuration, VPNs, security policy management and high availability, with hands‑on experience on Cisco, Fortinet or Juniper gear.

You will work in a multi vendor environment, improve network stability, document changes and build automation scripts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with firewall configurations and security policy management.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching and security protocols in large networks.
• Experience administering multi-vendor LAN/WAN environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage firewall security and incident responses.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing and security incidents.
• Build, configure and maintain network infrastructures per best practices.
• Produce change controls, test plans and implementation scripts.
• Maintain network documentation and perform ongoing optimization.
