Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Network Engineer in Birmingham to design, deploy and support complex LAN/WAN environments for multi-client projects. You will manage firewall security, routing, switching and VPNs, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco and other vendors, plus CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent, and readiness to spend time onsite with clients.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with firewall security configuration and policy management.
Working knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and IP multicast.
Administration of LAN/WAN environments and device protocols.
Experience with multi-vendor firewall platforms (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint, Cisco).
Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage firewall security and incident troubleshooting for networks.
Build, configure and maintain network infrastructure per best practices.
Assist with design and deployment of large corporate or data centre networks.
Create implementation scripts, test plans and change controls for network changes.
