Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Network Engineer in Birmingham to join our technology delivery teams. You will design, build and operate LAN/WAN infrastructures, implement security policies, and manage firewall systems across multi-client environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Check Point or Cisco), routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), VPNs, load balancers and network automation. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on firewall configuration and security policy management.
• Experience with LAN/WAN environments and multiple vendor devices.
• Associate-level network certification (CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Manage firewall security and troubleshoot network incidents.
• Build, configure and maintain network infrastructures per best practices.
• Produce implementation scripts, test plans and change controls for changes.
• Stay updated with latest technologies and obtain relevant certifications.
