Job summary

NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) seeks a Senior Network Engineer to manage the operational network across multiple on‑premises datacentres and numerous sites within the ICB region. The role requires strong troubleshooting, rigorous attention to detail and the ability to mentor junior staff.

You will work with Cisco ACI, Fortinet, SD-WAN, Azure networking, PowerShell and Python, coordinating with IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
Cisco / Fortinet Routing and Switching Certification (CCNP / NSE4)
Post-graduate degree or equivalent
Cisco / Fortinet Security Certification
ITILv3 or newer Foundation

Responsibilities

Mentor junior staff and provide leadership in ITIL processes such as Change Management, Major Incident Management and Problem management
Communicate complex technical tasks to non-technical colleagues and customers
Provide team leadership when line management is on leave
Lead in coordinating projects in complex environments and manage risks
