Senior Network Engineer, Multicast, BGP, MPLS - 6 Months+

A leading financial services firm is seeking a solid and proven Senior Network Engineer with strong BGP and Multicast skills.

You will be part of a small, agile, multi-skilled team ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the London and Trading networks, leveraging your expertise to optimize operations and implement improvements.

Skills and Experience

• CCIE qualification preferred (candidates without CCIE but with equivalent expertise will be considered)
• Experience with Ansible and network automation
• Experience working in a highly available, sensitive network environment using multiple network (switching & routing) and security (firewall, Web Gateway & LTM) technologies
• Ability to gather requirements from the business and collaborate with technical teams to identify balanced solutions considering security, availability, and resiliency
• Experience with market brokers & direct market connectivity
• Implementing designs into production under Change Control
• Knowledge of Arista architectures and OS with hands-on design and configuration experience
• Strong understanding of core routing protocols, OSPF, BGP, and IP transmission modes, including Unicast and Multicast
• Experience in low-level log and packet analysis
• Ability to multitask effectively

Additional responsibilities include implementing network-as-code for new infrastructure deployment and upskilling team members on automation, building professional relationships with global support, and producing accurate HLD and LLD documentation.
