Job summary

Agilis Recruitment is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for C#/.NET to join a global technology organisation. You’ll work on modern, scalable backend services, APIs and event-driven architectures, with exposure to AWS and Blazor.

The role offers hybrid working from Cheltenham Spa with remote options, a £70k-£75k salary DOE, and the chance to influence the platform’s evolution while using AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• Commercial Software Engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience as Senior/Lead engineer acting as a technical Lead.
• Experience building backend services and REST APIs.
• Understanding of event-driven, asynchronous or service-based architectures.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with automated testing, source control and code reviews.
• Ability to work from technical documentation and requirements.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Technical lead, Mentoring other Engineers and performing code Reviews.
• Build and maintain production software using C# and .NET.
• Develop backend services, APIs and event-driven applications.
• Work with PostgreSQL and AWS cloud technologies.
• Contribute to microservices, integrations and distributed systems.
• Support UI development using Blazor where required.
• Write automated tests and participate in peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues and support production systems.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks and contribute to delivery estimates.
