Job summary

Agilis Recruitment is partnering with an innovative global technology organisation to hire a Lead Software Engineer. You’ll work on modern, scalable software across C#/.NET, AWS, APIs, and event-driven architectures, with AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

You will mentor engineers, build backend services, contribute to microservices and distributed systems, and collaborate with UI teams using Blazor where needed. The role offers remote work flexibility within the UK.

Qualifications

• Commercial Software Engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Senior/Lead engineer acting as technical Lead.
• Experience building backend services and REST APIs.
• Understanding of event-driven, asynchronous or service-based architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases.
• Experience with automated testing, source control and code reviews.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Technical lead, mentoring engineers and performing code reviews.
• Build and maintain production software using C# and .NET.
• Develop backend services, APIs and event-driven applications.
• Work with PostgreSQL and AWS cloud technologies.
• Contribute to microservices, integrations and distributed systems.
• Support UI development using Blazor where required.
• Write automated tests and participate in peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues and support production systems.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks and contribute to delivery estimates.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, as part of the development process.
