Job summary

Accelero in Reading is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape technical direction and lead day-to-day delivery within a hands-on, 50/50 role. You will mentor, coach and grow a mixed-experience team while writing production-grade code and steering architecture, CI/CD and quality.

The role is hybrid: 2 days onsite in Reading and 3 days remote each week, with responsibilities spanning design through deployment and ongoing improvements, working closely with product and QA to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• Senior Software Engineer with leadership or mentoring experience.
• Hands-on with C#/.NET and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud services (Azure).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and day-to-day direction for a mixed-experience team of engineers, from junior through to senior
• Mentor and coach developers at all levels through code reviews, pairing and 1:1s
• Own planning and prioritisation, balancing feature delivery against technical debt
• Write clean, well-tested production-grade code and lead by example on quality
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and support
• Collaborate with product and QA to ensure smooth, reliable releases
