Job summary

ERSG Ltd in Glasgow, Scotland, is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a major infrastructure upgrade programme. The role blends on-site and remote work within a secure, regulated environment, with NEC3/NEC4 contract experience essential.

You will manage commercial aspects, cost planning, variations, and NEC compensation events, coordinating with project managers and suppliers. SC clearance or eligibility to obtain is required, and UK nationals only.

Qualifications

• Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience, ideally ECC.
• Experience on major infrastructure, construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
• Expertise in cost management, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of allocated projects and work packages.
• Cost planning, forecasting, reporting and cost control.
• Management of variations, change control and NEC compensation events.
• Administration and management of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Subcontractor account management, valuations and final accounts.
• Support procurement and supply chain management.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Provide accurate commercial reporting to project and senior commercial teams.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve commercial and contractual matters.
