Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a busy programme of works for a well-established infrastructure and utilities contractor. You will manage project costs, budgets, forecasting, subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting across infrastructure projects.

This hybrid role requires NEC contract expertise, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge is essential.
• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Ability to manage workloads independently and take ownership of projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasting and subcontractor accounts.
• Administer NEC contracts across the project lifecycle.
• Prepare commercial reports and ensure financial control.
• Collaborate with operational teams to support delivery.
