Job summary

Smile Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Maintenance Operative to start as soon as possible at a well-established organisation based in Harborne, Birmingham. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance duties, ensuring buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance across site.
• Plastering as an essential skill.
• Carpentry and decorating experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and safely with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building repairs and maintenance across the site.
• Completing plastering, carpentry, decorating, and other multi-trade maintenance tasks.
• Responding promptly to planned and reactive maintenance requests.
• Supporting the Maintenance Manager with various repair and maintenance projects.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Operating tools and equipment safely in line with health and safety procedures.
• Undertaking manual handling tasks as required.
• Responding appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Providing cover and supporting colleagues as required.
