Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced New Build Housing Maintenance Operative in Tyseley, Birmingham. The successful candidate will join an aftercare team responsible for maintaining high-quality homes while providing exceptional customer service.

This role requires multi-skilled operatives with a background in maintenance or customer care. Benefits include a competitive salary of up to £40,000, company van, tools, and opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, customer care, or finishing role within the new build housing sector.
• Multi-trade skill set with competency in several trade skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of maintenance and remedial works within occupied and newly completed homes.
• Diagnose and rectify defects in line with company standards and NHBC requirements.
• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and general finishing works.
• Respond to customer-reported defects professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of works completed.
• Liaise with homeowners and subcontractors.
