Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions seeks a multiskilled maintenance engineer for a Suffolk site in the food manufacturing sector. You will support the Head of Engineering, coordinate maintenance, manage contractors and maintain HSE standards, while remaining hands-on with maintenance and PLC fault-finding.

Role requires NVQ3+ in mechanical/electrical, experience in food/FMCG, senior/lead autonomy, and commuting to Suffolk. Monday–Friday, 16:00–01:00 shift, with overtime and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
• Experience working in the food/FMCG industry
• Senior, team lead, or strong autonomous engineering experience
• Commutable to Suffolk.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the technical supervision of evening maintenance schedules, contractors, and health & safety standards.
• Executing hands-on planned & preventative maintenance, machine modifications, and electrical/PLC fault-finding.
• Working at a single site in Suffolk on a Monday to Friday evening shift pattern.
