elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their Suffolk site to support the Head of Engineering with hands-on maintenance, PLC fault-finding, and scheduling coordination on a Monday–Friday evening shift.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, experience in the food/FMCG sector, and a proven ability to lead a small team while maintaining health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in the food/FMCG industry.
Senior or team-lead level with strong autonomous work ethic.
Willing to commute to Suffolk.

Responsibilities

Assist with the technical supervision of evening maintenance schedules and contractor coordination.
Execute hands-on planned & preventative maintenance, and electrical/PLC fault-finding.
Work at a single site in Suffolk on a Monday to Friday evening shift.
Support health, safety, and environmental standards.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Food Manufacturing

£52,000 – £55,000 + Overtime + Benefits + Generous Holiday Allowance + Discounts

Monday – Friday, Afternoon Shift(16:00 – 01:00)

Are you a multiskilled maintenance engineer with strong autonomous experience? Have you worked within a food manufacturing environment? Do you want a new senior role within an industry-leading, multi-site group who are known for their first-class stability, site investment, and staff retention?

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a multi-skilled engineer to join the team at their facility in Suffolk. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Head of Engineering, coordinating maintenance schedules, managing contractors, and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met. You will be a member of the team and will remain fully hands-on, assisting with planned & preventative maintenance, PLC fault-finding, production line efficiency, and internal KPIs. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills on a fixed Monday to Friday shift.

The Role:

Working at a single site in Suffolk on a Monday to Friday evening shift pattern.

The Candidate:

NVQ Level 3or higher in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering

Experience working in the food/FMCG industry.

Senior, team lead, or strong autonomous engineering experience.

Commutable to Suffolk.
