Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering is required.
• Proven experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is essential.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems is expected.
• Experience with PLCs, control systems, pneumatics, and heavy machinery is preferred.
• Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and CMMS is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a high-care, regulated environment is important.
• 18th Edition, food safety, IOSHH or similar qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance across site assets.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding, including PLC-controlled systems.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
• Use of CMMS to manage PPMs, breakdowns, and maintenance records.
• Support food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance (BRC environment).
• Liaise with contractors and support engineering projects.

Salary: £53,000 per annum

A leading FMCG food manufacturer is recruiting for a Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a modern, high-care production facility in Suffolk.
This is a hands‑on senior engineering role, suited to an experienced multi‑skilled engineer who enjoys fault‑finding, improving asset reliability, and supporting site‑wide engineering standards within a regulated food manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Planned preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance across site assets
• Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding, including PLC‑controlled systems
• Supporting equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
