Job summary

Radleys is seeking a senior, office-based Supply Chain Specialist in Saffron Walden to own materials planning, purchasing and supplier management. You will run MRP within Oracle NetSuite, ensure timely procurement, and maintain accurate data across BOMs and inventory.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales and Finance to meet demand while controlling costs. The role emphasizes ownership, clear communication and end-to-end purchasing actions, with no direct reports but close

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in purchasing, materials planning or supply chain in manufacturing/assembly
• Hands-on experience running MRP and translating output into purchasing actions
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, BOMs, lead times and inventory control
• Supplier relationship management, negotiations and supplier agreements
• Track record of delivering improvements and completing projects
• Strong analytical skills for supply and demand
• Organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
• IT literate with MS Office, especially Excel
• Desirable: Oracle NetSuite purchasing/inventory/MRP</br>Desirable: CIPS level 4+ or related degree
• Desirable: price list management, import procedures and logistics
• Desirable: improving purchasing processes and supplier performance

Responsibilities

• Plan, run and review MRP in line with production schedules and turn into purchase orders/priorities
• Consider BOMs, stock, open orders, supplier capacity, lead times and MOQ when placing orders
• Maintain data in NetSuite (lead times, safety stock, order quantities) and resolve BOM issues
• Identify shortages and supply risks and communicate with stakeholders
• Balance material availability with stockholding and working capital
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes through sourcing and planning
• Purchase bought-in goods and chase deliveries to keep records accurate
• Develop supplier relationships and supply agreements
• Negotiate prices, lead times and terms to improve value while ensuring supply
• Source and evaluate new suppliers and mitigate risks
• Provide central supplier liaison and resolve delivery/quality issues
• Develop supplier performance measures and drive improvements
• Report on purchasing and supply chain KPIs and actions
• Lead improvement projects and document changes
• Write/maintain purchasing and planning procedures
• Work with Supply Chain to improve ERP data quality; utilize NetSuite
• Cover pricing activities as needed and update price lists
• Coordinate with Goods-in and Finance to resolve discrepancies
• Align with business objectives and perform other duties as needed
