Polytec Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a Saffron Walden-based client. The role focuses on efficient purchasing, MRP execution, supplier management, and data accuracy within an established manufacturing environment.

You will manage inventory, monitor supplier performance and contribute to cost control and value optimization. A robust background in ERP/MRP and strong IT skills are essential.

Formación

• 5+ years in purchasing, materials planning or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Strong MRP experience and translating outputs into purchasing actions.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems, BOMs, inventory management.
• Proven supplier relationship management and negotiation experience.
• Analytical mindset with ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
• Experience driving process improvements and delivering projects.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly MS Excel and Office applications.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and execute MRP processes and translate system recommendations into purchasing and replenishment plans.
• Oversee purchasing of components and bought-in goods, ensuring timely orders.
• Maintain ERP data including bills of materials, supplier details and lead times.
• Monitor material availability and proactively manage supply chain risks.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms.
• Identify new suppliers and alternatives to improve value and supply security.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in delivery and quality.
• Manage inventory levels balancing availability with cost control.
• Produce reports on key supply chain KPIs and purchasing performance.
