Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a Planning & Purchasing Administrator in Salisbury. You will keep customer orders moving from schedule to dispatch, collaborating with purchasing and logistics in a manufacturing setting.

You'll handle MRP/ERP systems, raise works orders, issue purchase orders, and liaise with customers and suppliers while maintaining accurate records. This is a settled role where reliability and attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• Background in production planning, purchasing, order processing or supply chain administration.
• Experience within manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Familiar with MRP/ERP systems; EDI experience is an advantage.
• Strong data accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and relationship-building with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Processing and maintaining customer schedules and orders on the MRP system, including via EDI and customer portals.
• Raising works orders in line with customer requirements and issuing them to team leaders and stores.
• Generating purchase orders and supporting the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day expediting.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers by phone, email and online portals on order status.
• Monitoring overdue purchase orders and keeping logistics informed of any unscheduled dispatches.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting other departments with information when needed.
