Job summary

Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a senior technical presales leader to articulate capabilities, own complex Microsoft-based solutions, and drive technically elegant, commercially viable outcomes for customers.

You will construct cost models, lead workshops, manage risk, and collaborate with sales to present and finalize solutions while mentoring delivery teams. A proactive, self-starting, cross-functional expert is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively on projects and provide technical leadership.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills including problem solving.
• Effective design and proposal documentation skills.
• SC clearance or willingness to gain it.
• Microsoft expert-level exams and certifications.
• Subject matter expert exams and certifications.
• Several years in a customer-facing role delivering technology solutions based on Microsoft technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies with SME knowledge in agreed areas.
• Experience creating technical designs to deploy and implement without guidance.
• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Cloud Platform services, security and processes.
• Experience leading technical workshops and solutions across multiple technologies.
• Commercial awareness to create proposals and draft tenders.
• Significant pre-sales experience discussing solutions with customers.
• Team player with cross-team leadership experience.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Involve ourselves in initial customer engagements to articulate capabilities and shape customer strategy.
• Own the technical solution to meet customer specification and liaise with colleagues and partners.
• Construct cost models to support implementation and delivery of solutions.
• Own and manage risks in solution development and implementation.
• Author/review technical elements of proposals as required.
• Take the technical lead in presenting solutions to customers with the sales team.
• Provide technical support in contract negotiations and development.
• Ensure effective handover of solutions to delivery teams with programme managers.
• Develop and update technical solutions and capabilities with industry developments.
• Provide quality assurance of proposed/implemented solutions by others.
