Job summary

Methods Consulting in London is seeking an experienced professional to design and deliver enterprise-scale Microsoft-based solutions. You will support technical lead activities, assist in workshops, and drive pre-sales activities with clients and colleagues across multiple technologies.

The role requires strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and a track record of delivering customer-focused IT solutions.

Qualifications

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to create a technical design and deploy with limited guidance.
• Ability to contribute to technical workshops and solutions.
• SC clearance or willingness to gain it.
• Microsoft Associate Level Exams.
• At least 2 years in a customer-facing role delivering and supporting technology solutions based on Microsoft technologies.
• Significant knowledge and experience of various Microsoft technologies.
• Significant knowledge and experience of technical solutions.
• Commercial awareness to help create proposals and tender responses.
• Experience chairing technical workshops.
• Pre-sales experience discussing solutions and technologies with customers.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to customers and stakeholders.
• Microsoft Expert Level Exams and Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the relevant Technical Lead in conceptualising and designing complex, enterprise-scale solutions, including multi-site and hosted data centre infrastructures.
• Provide technical assistance, and occasional ownership, for project delivery while working closely with Project Managers to help deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Assist in running technical workshops across multiple technologies.
• Support pre-sales activity for the Business Development, Solution Architecture, and Sales teams.
• Develop detailed design skills within your technology specialism, alongside an architecture-level understanding of complementary technologies.
• Work proactively with colleagues to develop and deliver service offerings based on industry best practice and new technologies.
• Develop and deliver technology-specific presentations for large seminars and project workshop environments.
• Work with colleagues to understand opportunities for development within customer accounts.
• Maintain a broad understanding of Microsoft technologies and complete relevant training, exams, and accreditations as required.
• Become a subject matter expert in agreed technologies aligned to our solutions and designs.
• Carry out other duties as required.
