Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ is seeking an experienced Modelling & Simulation Engineer to support defence and marine engineering programmes. The role centres on developing vehicle and system-level models, control algorithms, and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink, spanning development, verification, systems analysis, and customer delivery.

The position is a senior-level contract with an initial 6-month term and potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience modelling and analysing complex engineering systems.
• Experience developing vehicle and system-level dynamic models.
• Strong understanding of control systems and system performance.
• Real-time modelling and simulation experience.
• Exposure to model-based development standards such as DO-331.
• Multi-body simulation or vehicle dynamics experience.
• Kalman filtering or state estimation capability.
• Hydro-actuated and/or electro-mechanical actuation systems exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyse vehicle and system-level models and control algorithms.
• Create and validate simulations across defence/marine programmes.
• Support verification, documentation, and peer reviews.
• Deliver analyses from requirements through validated models for customers.
