Job summary

HSBC in the United Kingdom is hiring an experienced Model Risk Oversight Analyst within the UK Wealth and Personal Banking Risk area. You will oversee models used in lending decisions and Basel reporting, ensuring robust governance and regulatory compliance.

Collaboration with MRM, GRCR, model owners and portfolio teams will be essential, with responsibilities including dashboards and timely reporting to senior stakeholders and adapting oversight processes to policy updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Risk analytics or governance roles.
• Ability to produce packs, minutes and approvals.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with SS1/23 and model risk policy frameworks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate model governance forums and submit to PRA when required.
• Monitor model risk metrics and explain results.
• Manage first line post-validation actions and drafting Model Sponsor summaries.
• Maintain GMIS inventory accurately.
• Own issue and control management and MSIIs.
• Create dashboards and monthly RMF reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Deliver regulatory and policy changes aligning with SS1/23 and policy updates.
• Simplify and automate oversight processes to improve continuity.
