Job summary

HSBC in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Model Risk Oversight Analyst to join the UK WPB Risk team in Leeds. You will oversee model risk management for lending decisions and Basel regulatory reporting, ensuring governance, control effectiveness and regulatory compliance across first and second lines of defense.

Qualifications

• Retail product knowledge incl. Credit Cards, Mortgages, Loans and Overdrafts.
• Experience in Credit Risk/Analytics/Modelling/Model Governance is desirable.
• Strong organisational and multi-delivery management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication tailored for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate model governance forums, produce packs, minutes and approvals.
• Monitor risk metrics and compliance, escalate breaches as needed.
• Manage post‑validation activity, track actions and draft sponsor summaries.
• Maintain an accurate model inventory (GMIS).
• Own issues and controls management; raise new MSIIs to policy standards.
• Create dashboards and monthly RMF reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Lead regulatory/policy changes alignment with SS1/23 and Global MRM policy updates.
• Streamline oversight processes through documentation and automation.
