Job summary

VodafoneThree in the UK Networks team is seeking a mobile core network expert to join the NQCXI department. You will analyse complex performance data to improve end-to-end network behaviour and turn insights into action, while mentoring junior analysts and collaborating across functions.

You’ll focus on core network architecture, performance monitoring and benchmarking, delivering regular reports that support marketing claims and customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Core network architecture and performance monitoring.
• In-depth knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/5G NR with focus on IMS, MMEs and GiLAN chains.
• Expertise in mobile core optimisation techniques such as TCP optimisation and traffic shaping.
• Knowledge of KPIs like CSSR, DCR, throughput, latency and rNPS.
• Ability to translate complex models into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and reporting groups in analytics best practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on mobile performance within NQCXI, enabling prioritisation of actions to improve customer experience and marketing claims.
• Represent NQCXI in Networks engineering forums and provide impact analysis of Core activities.
• Lead analysis and provide insights into mobile core performance deviations and benchmarking results.
• Conduct end-to-end trace analysis of critical issues to identify root causes and drive resolution.
• Provide regular mobile core network performance reporting to the wider Networks department.
• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and reporting teams.
• Support mobile network benchmarking and supplier performance initiatives with an end-to-end lens.
