Job summary
IC Resources is seeking a Principal Radio Systems Engineer in Bristol to own mmWave performance from architecture to field deployment. Translate requirements into hardware specs, define RF front-end and antenna needs, and set performance budgets for EIRP, sensitivity, noise figure and linearity.
You will lead link budgets, modelling and lab/field tests, guiding design decisions. You will work with hardware, software and test teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and contributing to future
Qualifications
- A relevant technical degree and extensive radio systems engineering experience (10+ years).
- Strong microwave or mmWave expertise with performance prediction.
- Knowledge of phased arrays, beamforming and RF impairments impact.
- Hands-on RF measurement experience complemented by modelling in MATLAB or Python.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into radio hardware specifications.
- Define RF front-end and antenna requirements and performance budgets.
- Develop link budgets, channel models and lab verification plans.
- Lead lab characterisation, OTA measurements and field trials.
- Provide technical direction on radio compliance and future product architecture.
