Job summary

Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 1 (ML Ops) to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure for a privacy-preserving AI research programme. You will contribute to model hosting, training infrastructure, secure data storage, and development tooling, under the Technical Lead.

You'll work across compute, storage, serving and tooling while balancing rapid delivery with rigorous security, in a fast-paced, multi-partner environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial software experience in a team setting.
• Strong Python skills with pandas, numpy, scikit-learn.
• Practical cloud infrastructure experience: deployments, storage, access controls.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm.
• AWS experience preferred; other providers considered.
• Experience with ML infrastructure: training pipelines, model serving, experiment tracking.
• CI/CD pipelines, version control, and containerisation as everyday tools.
• Able to communicate trade-offs, explain decisions, and work iteratively.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure for a privacy-preserving AI research programme.
• Deliver model hosting and training infra, secure data storage, and tooling.
• Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to CI/CD standards and docs.
• Integrate infrastructure components with partner environments and research workflows.
• Engage with technical trade-offs and evolving requirements in a multi-partner programme.
• Build robust infrastructure supporting research timelines while maintaining security standards.
• Contribute across a broad stack (compute, storage, serving, tooling).
• Grow ML infrastructure skills through hands-on work and learning.
