Job summary

Oxfida, Oxford-based AI R&D company, seeks a senior engineer to design and run the cloud infrastructure behind a privacy-preserving AI research programme. You will build model hosting, training pipelines, and tooling, with emphasis on reliability and responsible deployment.

You’ll work under a Technical Lead, grow into higher responsibility as the programme scales, and collaborate with academia and partners across the international network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software experience.
• Proficient in Python and core data/ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
• Practical cloud infrastructure experience with deploying services and storage management.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm, CI/CD, version control and containerisation.
• Exposure to ML infrastructure or data engineering (training pipelines, model serving, experiments).
• Ability to explain what you've built, why, and the trade-offs made.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and run the cloud infrastructure behind a privacy-preserving AI research programme.
• Build model hosting and training infrastructure, secure data storage, and agentic development tooling.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to CI/CD and documentation.
• Support integration with partner environments and research workflows.
• Contribute to technical trade-offs and learn quickly as requirements evolve.
