AioiNissay Dowa Europe (AND-E) in Oxford seeks two Machine Learning Engineers for 18-month fixed-term contracts. The roles are hybrid, combining remote and on-site work, to develop privacy-preserving AI ecosystems for the CODAS project.

You will translate research into dependable systems, deploy ML services, and collaborate with project partners and stakeholders across disciplines. Strong Python, ML deployment experience, and ability to work in complex, multi-partner environments are essential

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, math, statistics, physics, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years work experience in ML/AI or related field.
• Strong Python software engineering with clean, well-tested code.
• Experience deploying ML/AI systems in production or near-production environments.
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, CI/CD and service-oriented deployment practices.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test and maintain ML/AI software for CODAS and Lab initiatives.
• Deliver technical components for a sovereign AI ecosystem including ML services and deployment-ready apps.
• Translate research outputs into robust, maintainable systems.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and external project partners to align requirements.
• Help adapt AI/ML approaches to privacy-preserving and regulated deployment contexts.
• Integrate solutions into project infrastructure, workflows and partner environments.
• Troubleshoot technical, data and integration issues during development and deployment.
• Develop internal tooling, engineering standards and deployment practices across the Lab.
• Communicate technical trade-offs, risks and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
