Job summary

Tesco UK Data & Analytics is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help deliver scalable ML products across data platforms, edge to cloud, and analytics pipelines that power store operations and customer experiences.

You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers and analytics professionals to ship robust solutions, apply MLOps, review code, and ensure production readiness while enjoying a flexible, hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Higher degree in engineering, computer science, maths or science.
• Experience building scalable, resilient software systems.
• Experience leading a small team of engineers.
• Commercial experience in data science projects within complex organisations.
• Fluent in Python and data structures/algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Participating in group discussions on system design and architecture.
• Translating needs into technical requirements with product teams.
• Delivering high quality code and solutions into production.
• Performing code reviews to optimise performance.
• Supporting production systems and performing root cause analysis.
• Evolving technology, processes and practices, sharing knowledge.
