Job summary

Deliveroo in London is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Growth & Personalisation team within the Global DoorDash Engineering group. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office, focusing on ranking and personalisation for groceries, retail and related verticals.

You will develop models that personalize the homepage and vertical pages, translate user behaviour into recommendations, and shape notification strategies to improve adoption of new verticals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Experience with end-to-end model productionisation.
• A bias to simplicity, where you care most about achieving impact.
• Background in personalisation, ranking, or recommender systems; exposure to causal inference or uplift modelling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve ranking models for vertical landing pages.
• Design models to blend new-vertical content into a homepage built around restaurant ordering.
• Build personalisation models translating a user's behaviour into relevant recommendations.
• Contribute to notification targeting to drive adoption of new verticals.
