Deliveroo in London is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our global engineering team on a hybrid basis, three days in the office. You will work on personalisation, ranking and recommender systems across groceries, retail and restaurant surfaces, building models that influence what users see first.

You’ll write production-grade Python, deploy end-to-end models, and shape notification targeting to boost new vertical adoption.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Proven ability to write high-quality production code in Python.
• Background in personalisation, ranking, or recommender systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve ranking models for vertical landing pages (grocery, retail).
• Design models that blend new-vertical content into a restaurant-focused homepage without disruption.
• Build personalisation models that translate user behaviour into relevant recommendations.
• Contribute to notification targeting to drive adoption of new verticals.
